Geysers in the Potch region face rigorous stress due to intense seasonal cold snaps and local hard-water mineral scaling. High lime and calcium content in the water supply rapidly degrades copper heating elements and compromises internal thermostats, leading to total electrical failure or dangerous overheating. Whether your pressure control valve is leaking constantly, your electrical board is tripping, or your tank has suffered a catastrophic structural rupture, we replace faulty parts or install modern, energy-efficient cylinders quickly and cleanly.

Burst geyser or leaking geyser
- Close water supply to the burst geyser or leaking geyser. Stop taps are located on the entry points of water on the exterior of the house or by the water meter located under the meter box in the front of the property.
- Switch off electrical geyser. To prevent water backflow from damaging the geyser element or thermostat
- Open a warm water tap or faucet to reduce water pressure on the system and reduce water loss from the burst geyser or leaking geyser
- Move any item out of the way that can be damaged by the water dripping through the roof or ceiling caused by the burst or leaking geyser.
- Should the geyser be located in the roof or ceiling and the water is dripping through the ceiling, put a bucket underneath the water drip and reuse the water afterwards to take care of our plants.
- Call TAP TAP PLUMBING to repair or replace that burst or leaking geyser on the same day
No Hot water? or is your geyser tripping the electricity
- If the geyser trips the main switch, here is what you can do in order to restore your electricity and keep the lights on
- Switch off the geyser at the DB Board, if it is not clearly markerd, switch off everything and start switching everything on one by one starting with the main switch
- The circuit breaker that then trips the main switch is most likely the power supply to the geyser, keep it off and switch on everything else, this should keep the electricity on while you wait for our plumbers to reach you and repair the geyser that is not heating up or tripping the electricity
- The cause is likely a faulty element or faulty thermostat causing the geyser not to heat up and leaving you with no hot water
- Call TAP TAP Plumbing to have the hot water problem resolved or to have the element and thermostat replaced.
