As we are a truly South African brand, we have taken a hard look at the core issues surrounding our Plumbing industry locally and on a larger scale in Africa. We aim firstly to address some of the issues we found most prevalent in our local market and then spread out from there.
The biggest issue we have identified is getting a reputable plumber at your property on the same day and a mass exodus of skilled professionals from our local economy to the rest of the world. Another challenge we have identified is that most apprentices leave to pursue their ventures, causing some chaos in the market as most of them have no idea how to price or understand the intricacies of running and operating a business and creating value for the consumer. And we can’t blame them, they want to plumb, not stress, and run a business.
Now with that being said, it is not 100% that all of them follow that path, it is however a big concern as it saturates the plumbing landscape severely and does the end user the consumer an injustice. As they are either overpaying by far or wait days for proper service. We believe the landscape can be changed by accurate pricing and by better employment and incentives for plumbers, resulting in a higher retention rate of employees and a better customer experience.
Our philosophy of spreading joy and happiness wherever we go is infectious and we believe it is the right approach and is exactly what the plumbing industry needs right now. A fun fresh approach to a boring industry, no offense we get it for the average Joe, our industry is quite boring and neglected, we might even say that we are at the forefront of making plumbing fun again and turning frowns upside down.
So keep an eye out for the change we bring to the industry as we introduce the next generation of plumbers to the local market and the international market thereafter.
